respite nightstand
The Respite Nightstand is a piece of furniture designed to get younger children off of their electronic devices by way of a locking compartment that charges the device. The nightstand’s unique quality comes in the form of scheduled locking/unlocking and offering the child immediate alternate entertainment in the form of creativity.
Respite (noun): “A short period of rest or relief from something difficult or unpleasant”

one of the more fun designs was chosen, but with the need to be made more practical and less directed to a single room aesthetic.
